What makes it Special?

Iittala’s Kastehelmi tealight candleholder is part of the glassware collection designed by Oiva Toikka in 1964. Decorated with strings of glass bubbles, the aqua Kastehelmi tealight candleholder is enchanting both as a single piece and placed in eye-catching clusters.

The beautiful glass droplets of the Kastehelmi series have both an esthetic and a technical function: Oiva Toikka developed a pattern that would conceal the joint marks in pressed glass and the result was Kastehelmi, Finnish for dewdrop. Kastehelmi was manufactured until 1988 and it was one of Oiva Toikka's most beloved glass series. Iittala brought the most popular items of the series back into production in 2010.

Height: 2.52 in (6.4 cm) Diameter: 3.02 in (7.67 cm)

Oiva Toikka (1931-2019) was a Finnish glass artist who became known worldwide for his collection of glass birds designed for Iittala. His imaginative, rich and bold glass art deviates from the streamlined esthetic of Nordic design.
